Windows 10: Upgrade from 8.1 to 10 Pro using my own 10 Pro key

My old Lenovo computer has been updated to Windows 10 Pro but is finally starting to conk out so I bought a new Asus computer. This new computer was still 'new in the box' but about 5 years old so came with 8.1. I want to upgrade the Asus to Windows 10 Pro using the product key from my old Lenovo.

I went to Windows 10 Setup TWICE and both times on the Asus to upgrade just to Windows 10, first (thinking I would then upgrade that to Pro) but it got hung up both times on the Setup stage at 46%.... for HOURS. I finally just gave up.

Can anyone tell me if there's any way to upgrade my Asus to Windows 10 (hopefully for free), then up again to 10 Pro using my old Lenovo's Pro key. Just trying to avoid paying another $200 for another version of Pro 10 since the old computer - that's being tossed - has my paid for Pro 10 key on it!

Upgrade Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro

Follow these steps to upgrade from Windows 10 Home if you have a Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows 7 Professional, Windows 8 Pro, Windows 8 Pro Pack, Windows 8.1 Pro, or Windows 8.1 Pro Pack product key:

• Select the Start button, then select Settings >
  Update & security > Activation.

• Select Change product key, and then enter this 25-character default product key:

Important

This default product key will upgrade your device to Windows 10 Pro, but won't activate it.

• Select Next to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro.

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?
