Windows 10: Upgrade from Office 2013 to 2019 troubles Part 2

So as I have posted earlier that upgrading from Office 2013 to 2019 doesn't go as smooth as that of 2016 to 2019 . So basically on one laptop it crashed windows beyond repair , on another it kept two copies of office leaving me worried about Outlook data if I managed to uninstall 2013 until I was able to find the new database store location as apparently it changed since office 2010 and Google persist to display results that relate to older location etc . ugh ... anyway

So now part 2 , as I managed to uninstall Office 2013 there surfaced the fact that it took along with it the entries in "New" context menu (Example : New Word Document , New Excel Sheet etc) , so basically I did my research and found that other had such problem where it was fixed by smoothly navigating to "Add / Remove Programs" in "Control Panel" , picking Office 2019 and clicking uninstall where a window pops up granting you to choose from "Quick repair" , "Repair" & "Uninstall" where "Quick repair" manages to do the job for them in a minute , now to my luck when I followed these instructions I ended up with a window where the only choice present was "Uninstall" .

Now what are my other options to restore those "New" items , preferably a registry file or something as I hate to go through reinstallation and all the hassles of safe guarding / restoring Outlook again .

Upgrade from Office 2013 to 2019 troubles

I installed Office 2019 Pro Plus with Office 2010 Pro already on two computers. No problems with the installation. If I did it again I would have uninstalled the old version of Office first. I suggest you do the same thing by uninstalling the old version of Office first.

BTW, when I first installed Office on my laptop I was perplexed. Their were two versions of all the Office apps on it. I had forgotten that the laptop had come with a trial of Office 365. I went back and uninstalled all versions of Office. When I went back and reinstalled the new version of Office everything was OK.

 

Upgrade from Office 2013 to 2019 troubles

I managed to upgrade two laptops lately to office 2019 , the first was on office 2016 which upgraded without troubles , the second was on 2013 , now this one however gave me so much troubles as it crashed one installation of windows beyond recovery , and on the other installation it managed to install but keep an intact copy of office 2013 present on system .
Is this the norm with such an upgrade ? to have two copies of office ?

Only supported on Win10. Sorry, 8.1 users, only 4 years old, gotta go.
