Windows 10: Upgrade from Win 7 Home Premium

I Just found your site - amazing!

Planning to upgrade to Win 10 from Win 7 Home Premium. All the chat talks about Win 7 Pro and Win 10 Pro. Will the procedures be the same for my upgrade? I do have my Win 7 Product Key.

Recovery win 7 home premium

I downloaded the win 10 upgrade 7/30/2015. It appears that some of my apps don't work and some of my devices don't work. I'd like to go back to win 7 home premium but when I try the recovery steps it comes back that the files have been deleted. I found
a file folder on my root directory labeled "windows.old" and I assume this is where win 7 is stored. How can I make the recovery see this file folder if it is windows 7?

 

Win 7 home premium need upgrade to win 8.1.

I have a pc running win 7 home premium. When Microsoft pushed win 10 out a few years ago as an upgrade I tried to upgrade but received a message saying this pc could not be upgraded. I don't know why. I downloaded an upgrade version of win 8.1, but it
seems that product keys are unavailable for purchase....??? Am I stuck with win 7?
