Windows 10: Upgrade my graphic card

Hi,


I was wondering what was the best graphic card to upgrade my computer. I don't play that much, but I want to be able if I want to, for the last ones. It's fine if it's not the best quality, just enough to play. I also want to watch 4k videos. I need two HDMI output (or one HDMI and one DVI) and one VGA if possible.

My budget : 100-200($), maybe 250($) if I can keep it much longer. Around 130-150 would be perfect.

windows 10 upgrade

I tried to upgrade to windows 10, i was told my graphics card was incompatible so i got another graphics card which I am told is compatible. I clicked on the upgrade and it tells me that the old graphics card (Radeon X1550) is still installed when it isn't.
It will not let me upgrade. How do i get the upgrade advisor to recognize my new graphics card?

 

does't supports graphics card radeon 86

can I upgrade without graphics card? is it possible? my system does't supports graphics card radeon 86 .

so is it possible to upgrade windows 10 in my system?

 

I know nothing about pricing and availability in France.

I'd guess that you want a card based on an nVidia 1050 or 1050ti chipset. (I'm not au courant with AMD cards.)

In the unlikely event that you wish to watch 4k video from a UHD BluRay disk, make sure that the HDMI ports support HDMI 2.0 or later (2.0a, 2.0b) and HDCP 2.2. ("Unlikely" because few people have an optical drive that can read a UHD BD.) I'm not sure whether it's needed for 4k from other sources.

No graphics cards are future proof for long, but these are from the latest nVidia series.

 

You're looking at the GT 1030 to GTX 1050Ti range.

 

A point to be careful of is the requirement for VGA, this is now a legacy analogue connection.
This you may get in the form of DVI-I. DVI-D does not have the analogue(pins are usually missing).

You will have to check each Graphics Card to make sure it has the analogue DVI-I output, or the sub D type of connector.

Don't think I have seen DVI-I, (analogue) in any of the 1000 series Graphics Cards. They do have them in the 900 series.
At least that is for UK.

 

First and foremost assure that you are supplied with enough wattage if you are going to get into the 1080ti area of graphics cards... if you do not have at least 650watts coming from your power supply then I would stick with a 1050ti. A good and non-expensive graphics card that I would recommend is an EVGA GeForce GTX1050ti graphics card which runs about $155. I use this graphics card because my wattage would not support the power, side not be sure that your cpu can handle the processing well enough. Hope this helps!

 

An R7 360 is actually a pretty good card and can be had for very cheep.
Could go for a 560 if budget allows.
