Windows 10: Upgrade Perfect Now Should I Clean Install

You should not have to enter a key.

You did a upgrade first and now a clean install will not need a key as it and all your hardware spec's are stored on MS's server's.

They will be tied to the clean install.

 

it asked for it and i entered skip, when i saw stuck at 2%, i restarted computer used the usb key

 

OK, how is it doing now?

 

im in trouble it went back to install windows i did it again, i now entered the serial number, i deleted partitions, i reformat, created new, now installing files again at 42%

 

Is it still progressing ?

no good i did the rufus usb which is what im using something wrong, damm why couldnt it be easy

 

second line i never knew, makes me confident i will be o.k. with clean install.

 

i see thru my bios that i cannot choose usb when i hit f12?

 

I've done a couple of clean installs after the upgrade process and they have all activated fine *Thumbs

 

where do i find usb here

 

i also have it under raid mode since thats the way i had before when alienware tech setup they said i needed it on raid mode

 

Did mine on day of launch, many had issues activating then, some causes said to be on MS and there server overload. Mine has been good so far, since then. Only did one clean install after upgrade, worked perfect.

 

Did you create the flash drive for UEFI/GPT? If not, do it again that way.

 

i took usb out now seems doing its thing
