Windows 10: Upgrade to newer Office suite; buying on line a question

Thinking about it, I did a google and saw that the 2013 was available from several sources at varying prices. Nearly all the stores bore unfamiliar names. How can I be sure that all the offerings are genuine before paying up? I can't see how!

Windows 7 and compatible programs that won't work in Windows 10

I want to preserve Windows 7 - that came preinstalled in my computer - because of compatibility issues with Adobe Creative Suites CS5.

My question comes up because of the possibility that I may buy a newer computer.

Is it possible to copy/transfer Windows 7 from my computer to the newer one or would I have to separately buy Windows 7 and have it installed in the newer one?

If I accept the upgrade to Windows 10 will my Office Pro 2007 still work or do I have to buy a newer version? I jave lots of things stored in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Reputable sellers like Newegg and Amazon have it for around $115.00. The problem with buying from unknowns is that the software may install just fine, but bypass activation, and you'd never know. If you're running Windows 10, the days of pirated (not by you; but the seller) software remaining undiscovered are long gone.

In case you didn't know, Office 2013 is for one computer only. You can no longer have it on one desktop and one laptop.

You can buy Office 2016 Home and Student for a one-time cost of $149.00 (includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote)

If you have more than a couple of PCs, a tablet and a phone, you can subscribe to Office 365 2016 for $99.99 per year.

• 1 TB of OneDrive cloud storage each for up to 5 users
• Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher and Access.

This would be by far your best bargain as well as most convenient way to go if you have the need.

 

I'm in UK so I'd assume a 1:1 conversion rate for the prices you guys have given. That's how it seems to work over here.

I looked over the current Office products and bought Office 365. I have a desktop and laptop, and my Daughter needed Word and Excel for her laptop. It was big leap for me as I've been using Office 2003.
