Upgraded to 1903 but it still 1809

Upgraded to version 1903 on my Acer laptop (which came with Windows 10 Home 1809). After everything completed and rebooted, I checked the version in Settings and it still shows version 1809, but the Updates display offers the next release 1909. I used another utility to check and it also displays 1809. So, I am not sure what to do next. Any suggestions please?

    :)

  2. KB4023057 after upgrading Windows 10 from 1809 to 1903

My 64-bit desktop computer running Windows 10 Home 1809 has been successfully upgraded to 1903.

After the upgrade, when running "Programs and Features" from Control Panel, I noticed that "Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057)" is still in the installed list.

As far as I know, this "feature" does not apply to 1903, so :-

    1) Should the upgrade to 1903 have automatically uninstalled it?

    2) Should I uninstall it?

  3. Cannot upgrade back to 1903 after a 1809 rollback

I upgraded to Windows 1903 and it caused an error with Trend Micro & PDQ Deploy so I used the rollback feature to take me back to 1809. Now I cannot go back to 1903. If I search for Windows Updates it says I'm all up to date. It also says that I already
have 1903 installed but my version is clearly 1809 when I type 'winver'.

How do I fix this, I want to upgrade without fresh installing Windows.

Win 10 1809 to 1903 Failure And Odd Issue Found

No listing under MSConfig Boot tab / not sure what to do

    Similar there.
You are missing an EFI partition too. Here's mine (1903) - note the 99Mb EFI partition:

    - noting the Recovery partition is NTFS - not sure where the idea in that thread about FAT32 comes from.

Here are all the partitions - Disk Management omits the 16Mb one:

In the thread I quoted- not the most straightforward- it seems one basic step taken was to
    a. Image 'C: '
    b. Clean install Windows
    c. Replace the new Windows partition by restoring it from the image created
    d. (Note when rebooting, this may sort itself out via automated repair, or need Startup repair to be run)

    If you search for
    msconfig boot empty
    or
    msconfig boot empty "Windows 10"
you will find numerous references which may help.
