    Upgraded to WIN10; Watch Dog Initialization locks up


    After upgrading to Windows 10 and successfully running for a week, I now receive a screen with Watch Dog Initialization(which runs successfully and finishes), then freezes. Watch Dog is part of AVG, but it appears I need to "clean boot" from a CD or USB and therefore bypass the AVG Watch Dog files that are preloading. Is there a way to create a "clean boot" disk from Windows 10 on another computer?

    NOTE *** I am not asking for a way to do a "clean install". I want to boot into that specific Windows 10 instance bypassing Watch Dog. Thanks a bunch in advance for any help !

    Windows 10 upgrade

    Upgrade finally worked. Now computer won't boot up. Starting watch dog initialization. Does phase 1 and 2 and sits there. Now no computer.

    Hello, you refer to 'clean boot' which is done like this for trouble shooting:
    Clean Boot - Perform in Windows 10 to Troubleshoot Software Conflicts - Windows 10 Forums

    - logging in and running with added programs that would normally start disabled.

    I don't know what a 'clean boot' disk is, I'm afraid.

    If yo want a bootable Win 10 disk that offers some recovery options
    (Safe mode, system restore, startup repair, command prompt)
    then you can certainly create one and download an appropriate iso file.
    The Tutorial section can help you there - but I don't think that's what you actually mean?

    In order to perform a "clean boot", my understanding is that you have to actually be able to sign into Windows to disable all of the non-essential items using msconfig (described in the link you sent). Since I can't actually get into that particular Windows installation, I was wondering whether there is a way (using a working WIN 10 computer)to copy the file configuration created using msconfig. If those settings could be saved onto a bootable disk and use that, it seems we could bypass the non-essential files and ONLY load Window critical files(like with a "clean boot") then I could actually get back into Windows once again. I hope that makes sense. It may not be possible. Thank you
