Upgraded Win 10 over Win 7. Creating Recovery USB. Will I get back to Win 7?

    Hi

I have a Toshiba Satellite 630 R135. It has quite a lot of Toshiba software installed.

It came with Win 7 but in january I upgraded it to Win 10. Not a clean install, just the upgrade offered from the Microsoft website.

I was trying to create a Recovery disk from Windows using the Recovery Drive app, but although I can see the USB on IE The app does not find the USB.

So I am doing one now with the Toshiba Recovery Media that came with the original software.

My concern is that it will probably create a Win 7 image from the one stored on first installation. So I will have to upgrade again to Win 10, which is no longer free, apart from the time it will take me to do so.

Anybody knows if I will get a Win 10 if I use the USB i am creating, or will I get Win 7?

If it is Win 7, can I create a Win 10 recovery USB, and if so how? As I said, the recovery app does not find the USB

    Many thanks

    Jose

    :)

  2. is hardware OK (Win 7) for upgrade to windows 10

I think in one of the other PC with win 7 or win 8.1 I run media creators tools and in some step prompt/found graphics card not supported... for win 10. I didn't found alone reading specs of win 10, but
the tool says me... after changed graphics card the tool says all ok and continued ok... That I ask to reach this step in this current PC - win 7 - must be all ok for the upgrade? Or must continue to upgrade to show this?

    and got to point

    • UPGRADE this PC now
    • Create media(DVD, USB stick, ISO)

is hardware OK (Win 7) for an upgrade to windows 10 for this PC???
