Windows 10: Upgraded Win10 on a tablet, SD card reader won't work

So when I was in Japan, I bought a Fujitsu Arrows Tab Q506(?) tablet. It needed some OS updates. After said OS updates, the card reader won't work at all. It's stuck at "The device cannot start(code 10)". It was working before the upgrades.

I have tried everything to get it to work. No such luck. I noticed the sdstor.inf file is dated back to 2006. Would finding a later version of this file fix it?

Being a Japanese tablet, it's a bit hard to find any support for this device.

internal SD card reader not working after win10 upgrade

I have just noticed that after upgrading to win10 my internal SD card reader is not working properly (or at all). I use Dell Precision M4700. I use sdhc card with SD adapter. It worked fine before update. Suddenly after uprgade, when I go to open disk F
(sd card) system tells me to format this disk and that the file system is unrecognizable. Also asks me to check drivers. (I got those messages in polish I hope they are more or less the same in english). The card works fine with other computers with internal
SD card readers running also on win10 or win7. I even copied all the files and tried to format this disk as system requests but then it says windows could not format this disk. If I take the card out and put it back in again I got message that catalogue name
is incorrect.

 

SD Card Readers not working

I have had this same problem and at first your suggestion worked (one time). After that, I never get the so called "action center notice". Even after a restart, with inserting the SD card into the built-in reader, once the OS is up and running for a couple
minutes.

I too have tried to upgrade the drivers, using my Dell computer's "Command | Update" function. But, to no success.

Question, within the Device Manager, how can I even find the SD card reader? I do not see it listed, but I do see a large number of USB devices. They show up as either "Generic USB Hub", "USB Composit Device" or "USB Root Hub", even several
"Intel 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller". Which one would be my SD Card reader?
