    Upgrading SSD


    I recently ordered a new SSD and before I do anything insensible I want to be sure what I am trying to do is legit, I am currently using windows on a 256GB SSD which I want to upgrade to a 500GB and run windows from there, is this possible with the activation key I am currently using? Or do I need to buy a new one? If it is possible, what is the best way to format the old drive, or would you reckon cloning the drive is the way to go?

    I am not sure if this is the right sub, I hope it is.

    Upgraded Windows Transfer from HDD to SSD

    Hi

    My windows was upgraded from 8 to 10 on my laptop few years back. I was trying to get the HDD replaced with SSD. During the copy process, the technician said windows cannot be moved to SSD as it is an upgraded version from 8 to 10.

    Kindly guide if there is a possibility to copy the windows to SSD ? If so, please suggest the steps.

    CPU: Intel Xeon W5590
    GPU: SAPPHIRE HD 7970 3gb

    SSD: Sandisk Solid State Drive 64GB
    PCi-e SSD: OCZ RevoDrive 3 series RVD3-FHPX4-240G PCI-E MLC Solid State Drive SSD
