    setting up a new PC because the old pc won't run w11. i would like to physically move the c drive a 1 TB SSD containing w10 from the old pc over to the new computer and then upgrade to w11. Will this work?

    Why does upgrading to W11 from W10 degrade startup performance significantly?

    On an Acer laptop, I upgraded to W11 from W10 after several "suggestion" messages from Microsoft to do that. Big mistake. Bootup now takes significantly longer as well as intermittent sluggishness on the internet. Sorry I upgraded. Is there any easy fix to this?

    Hi A&K,

    Actually, W11 is compatible with certain i3 and i5 processors. The developers wrote programming for some i5 chips but not others, There is no logic to the OS design as concerns chips. My computer fits every single parameter for W11.

    I could tweak the registry but shouldn't need to. Just wondered if MS had made any changes to the OS code. Sadly, no...
