Windows 10: Upgrading to Windows 10 installation by agents ruined my device costing me £48 to restore...

Do not trust microsoft agents / remote assistance. They’ve damaged my perfectly working device running 8.1 in trying to install windows 10, it failing and my device unnable to revert to windows 8.1. I think its a disgrace what agents have done to my laptop.

1. My device running windows 8.1 met system requirements for windows 10 upgrade.


2. Tried to install windows 10 using media creation tool direct on machine running windows 8.1 - installation failed device reverted back to windows 8.1


3. tried to install windows 10 using media creation tool by USB - installation failed device reverted back to windows 8.1


4. Contacted Agents via live chat and remote assist. They changed bios settings and changed system files , ensured installation files downloaded etc.


5. Tried again to install windows 10 through usb - installation failed but device unnable to revert back to windows 8.1.


6. Only option given by agents now is to go to a local technician and will cost £48 to revert my machine back to windows 8.1.

An abolsute disgrace and joke of a service. My machine worked perfectly running windows 8.1 before agents assessed my machine stating it met the requiements for windows 10 and changed pc settings through remote assistance.

I feel my complaint must be escalated and I seek reimbursment of the damage caused by the agents.

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:

• Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
• Try different keyboard or mouse.
• Restart computer, repeatedly.
• Google for related issues.
• Update Bios, because why not.
• Create boot media and revert to windows 7.

The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

 

Windows 10 taking forever to install

Ruh roh. I'd plug the HDD into another computer, retrieve the data, install windows 7, then force windows 10 upgrade. The power loss during the upgrade most likely ruined the upgrade process.

 

win 10 ruin my wifi connection

after the latest update of windows 10, it ruins my wifi connection! I did system restore my laptop (alienware 17) as suggested by the Microsoft support agent, but the problem is still there.

and fyi, the best drivers are already installed in my system yet the same problem persist!

kudos to Microsoft for ruining my life!
