Windows 10: Upside down screen display

I have 2 HP laptop computers that both exhibit the same issue. When entering text the screen display will suddenly go upside down. I correct this by entering CTRL,Alt and the up arrow but the problem frequently persists. I talked to a tech person who told me to go to setting then display and look for a check on screen display reversal but I cannot find any such option. Any ideas?

Team my icons display upside down on the screen and I cant get them to display properly.

When I reboot it appears ok but once logged on.

It is important that you have the correct screen display and resolution. We suggest that you perform the following steps to reset the monitor settings:

• Boot your computer in
  safe mode.
• Once in safe mode, right-click the desktop > Screen Resolution.
• Change the display settings back to the original configuration.
