Windows 10: urgent help needed error code 0x80070005

Hi guys. ive got an error with my PC which started when i deleted the software distribution folder for the windows update (i think). i tried to update to the most recent version of windows and this apparently was a potential fix. i now get the error "we couldnt connect to the update service". wheras before it just said failed to install after the instalation reaching 100%. now and any time i try to run a troubleshooter on anything at all it says "a problem is preventing the troubleshooter from starting" with the error code 0x80070005.



if someone knows a fix it would be much appreciated. thanks!

Trying to download windows 10 to a media device (USB) for installation on another PC and keep getting this error. Am wondering if I should be following the steps suggested for error code: 0x80070005-0xA0019 ?
