    USB 10.0.17763.1 problem

I have an older Yoga 720-13 and use a USB-to-HDMI cable to connect it to an external monitor. I just purchased a newer Yoga 730-13 and have tried to use the same USB-to-HDMI cable to connect it to the same external monitor. On the newer Yoga 730-13 I get error messages as soon as I plug in the USB-to-HDMI cable, even before plugging the other end into the monitor. The error message is in the form of a Windows notification that the "USB device not recognized". I do not get any error messages in Device Manager related to this and the drivers seem to be loaded and working as normal. When plugged into the older Yoga the external monitor works and does not throw any errors.

The older Yoga is running version 10.0.17134.1 of the driver. The newer Yoga came with version 10.0.17763.1. The two Yogas are configured pretty much the same as far as physical ports, so the only significant difference between the two is the USB driver version, with the newer version not working. Other devices, such as thumb drives seem to work on both Yogas.

I am running the version of the driver that came loaded on the newer Yoga, so I can't "back out" the driver to a previous version. I could, I suppose, uninstall the newer driver and download and install the older driver, but I might need to get a link to the older driver installation package.

    Please advise.

    :)

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
    a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
    b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

    Multi-bootable USB

Hey guys from TPU, couldn't find any specific thread pertaining to the question asked on title. As mentioned, I'm trying to create a bootable USB, but with many specifics boots available.

I've been trying to create one with multiple boot device including one that enables me to run Windows 10 directly on the USB Thumb Drive but to no avail.

The list of bootable images i'm trying to create are

    1. Windows 10 (A full OS running from thumb drive)
    2. Windows 10 ISO (Bootable disk image for fresh install)
    3. MemTest86+

Have tried YUMI or UUI from the website USB PenDrive Linux but as this is my first time, i don't know how am i screwing up or am doing it right.. Anyone got a rough idea on a step by step guide? Thanks!

    USB 10.0.17763.1 problem

Installing windows off of a USB stick

    Step By Step from vista:
    From admin cmd prompt

    1. diskpart
    1a. list disk
    2. select disk 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
    3. clean
    4. create partition primary
    5. select partition 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
    6. active
    7. format fs=fat32
    8. assign
    9. exit

Copy Windows Vista's DVD ROM content to the Flash Drive

xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\ (d being your vista cd and e being your usb stick)

And that's it, boot off your usb disk
