  1. USB 3.0 not recognised in device manager

    My desktop has 4 USB 3.0 ports on it and when I turned my pc on this morning, none of them were working, they are not even transferring power to my phone when I plug it in. I started trying to troubleshoot but when I opened device manager, I noticed I was lacking any USB Root Hub(3.0) and had no usb extensible controller and was unable to continue the trouble shooting process. I am running the most recent version of windows 10, and have to use another computer to ask this question because the pc is dependent on a 3.0 port for internet. How do I fix this issue?

    :)

  2. O/S is not recognising device via usb connection

    Please help. I am trying to connect my iPod to my ASUS X540 L with O/S windows 10 but it does not even recognise that the device is connected via USB even though the iPod is charging. The same thing happens when I try to connect my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge
    via USB. I have 2 USB ports on this laptop yet neither one of them works. Device manager states they are working properly yet none of my plugged in devices are showing up on the list. Here is a copy of the message in device manager "USB Root Hub (USB 3.0)
    Properties, Events"

    Device USB\ROOT_HUB30\4&b5e9dc6&0&0 was migrated.

    Last Device Instance Id: USB\ROOT_HUB30\4&b5e9dc6&0&0

    Class Guid: {36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000}

    Location Path:

    Migration Rank: 0x0

    Present: true

    A very similar message shows for USB Composite device and Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller. I have no idea what that means or what I can do to make my laptop recognise devices connected via USB. I would appreciate any suggestions you might have
    to fix this.

    Thank you kindly.

    Regards,

    Monica
