Windows 10: USB Audio Driver does not have Enhancements tab

I got an USB Audio splitter for my laptop since the headphone jack has some problems. One of the earphone stops working after sometime if i plug it into the headphone jack.But the USB Audio splitter has no Enhancements tab in it. It just shows one Custom AGC one. So i figured i should change the drivers to some good ones, but i cannot find a USB Audio Driver. The one installed is from Microsoft Generic USB Audio, does anyone know a good USB Audio Driver or how to fix this problem, there's a lot of noise since there are no enhancements.

Outdated audio driver is one of the usual caused why the enhancements tab is not appearing on the speakers properties. There are also audio drivers that don't have an enhancement tab.

To isolate the root cause of the issue, we need additional information:

• Which audio driver are you using?
• Were you able to use the enhancement tab before?
• Did you make any changes prior to the issue?

As an initial troubleshooting, we suggest uninstalling the driver using the steps below:

• Open Device Manager.
• Right-click (or tap and hold) the name of the device, and select
  Uninstall.
• Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

Audio Enhancements Problem

Driver enhancements give you some special sound effects that will enhance your audio experience.

The steps to disable driver enhancements are listed below:

a. Click Start.

b. Type Sound in the Start search box and click
Sound from the available options.

c. On the Playback
tab, click Speakers and then click Properties.

d. Click the Enhancements
tab and then select the Disable all enhancements check box.

If disabling driver enhancements doesn't help, please follow the steps given below:

a. Right click on volume icon in system tray.

b. Select Playback Devices. Select the Speakers icon, and click
Properties.

c. Select the Enhancements tab.

d. Scroll down to Loudness Equalization and check the box.

e. Click Apply.

If the above given methods do not help, please uninstall your Audio driver, restart your PC and again install it.

 

Audio Enhancements Tab Missing

According to the ASUS site, this has VIA HD Audio, however there is no Win 10 drivers listed. There are no Win 8.1 drivers listed either.
There are Win 7 drivers listed however, in most cases they are not compatible. Usually you need Win 8.1 drivers to be Win 10 compatible.

I suspect Windows installed the generic, basic function, High Definition Driver. If that is the case, you will not have the Audio Enhancements and probably the best you can do with this older motherboard and Win 10 audio.
