Windows 10: usb is not recognized

    usb is not recognized

    Try making a live Linux USB flash drive or DVD and boot the computer from that. Then plug in your portable hard drive and see if it's recognized. If so, copy your files to a different flash drive or portable hard drive.

    If you're not fimilar with live Linux, it's an operating system that runs off the flash drive or DVD. Nothing is written to your hard drive. When you Shutdown, no trace of it is left.

    I like Linux Mint because it's very similar to Windows 7. You will have no trouble using it. I read somewhere that the Mate desktop is best for the live version. This is the program I used to make my flash drive.

    No, it just makes a bootable Linux on that USB.

    hi it's me again*Biggrin
    before few days ago i open cover of my hdd and i found (i don't known what it's call but i think it's a kind of a connector or something) it was broken or brun i have taken a pic of it

    usb is not recognized [​IMG]

    so i think because of this it was not recognizing.so i was searching for case that have a same connector so i found this (i live in U.A.E so i buy from this site)

    Yes, that's just normal SATA connection, it's same as any SATA drive.
