Windows 10: USB issues

I am an avid audiophile and I just got a new USB DAC (digital to analog converter) for my PC. However, it will not work with windows. It works fine in my phone with an adapter, but, not my PC. When plugged in, windows will not see it. But, when plugged in through a USB hub, windows sees it but displays a code 43 error saying it doesn't recognize it. The driver for the DAC will not install because in order for the driver to install, it needs to see the device. I have tried so many different things, I called Microsoft customer support, I let their IT guys control my desktop, I called my friend who is an extremely good IT. I've uninstalled and reinstalled USB drivers, I've run it through powered usb hubs, I've tried different ports and cables, I've gone so far as to reinstall windows. Nothing. As I've said, the dac is fine it's just a software problem. The dac is made by a company called Schiit and the specific model is the Modi 1. Please help, I spent a good amount of money on this to get the best out of my music. I would listen in my phone but I have all my FLAC and WAV files on my PC and no room on my phone for my 500gb music library.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

 

Installing windows off of a USB stick

Step By Step from vista:
From admin cmd prompt

1. diskpart
1a. list disk
2. select disk 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

Copy Windows Vista's DVD ROM content to the Flash Drive

xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\ (d being your vista cd and e being your usb stick)

And that's it, boot off your usb disk
