    USB Microphone Volume Issue

In my experience, Windows 10 allows internal sound cards using the headset jack TRRS port to use a microphone feature called "Boost" allows for an additional +36 db to be added to the microphone output/volume. Not sure if this is a Windows feature or a sound card feature. How can I enable boost like this on USB microphones, I'm having issues with Teams and Zoom calls where people can't hear very well when USB microphones are used.

Does anyone know how to amplify the microphone on USB audio devices in Windows vs using external devices or any trusted 3rd party software that can boost the microphone audio?

    Thanks,

    Wayne

    How to raise microphone volume?

Hi vesvespa, my name is Max and I'm an independent advisor.

I suggest you check your microphone gain level. To do it, try the steps mentioned below:

Right click on Speaker icon (Volume settings) on the Taskbar

    Choose Recording Devices

Click on Microphone and open the Properties

Finally, move the slider to choose the level. It will raise the Microphone and Microphone Boost option.
