Windows 10: USB mouse jumping around

First, I'm on Win10 v. 1909. I've tried to update, but haven't been successful. I heard there was a bug in 1909 that had to do with this, but this is the first mouse I've had a problem with. It's a brand new mouse, about a week old. Was working perfectly until today.


I've had this problem before, and usually disabling the touchpad fixes it, but not this time. This is what I've done:


Reinstalled the driver there was no new driver available

Made all recommended adjustments to touchpad and mouse

Moved mouse to another USB port - did that twice.

Uninstalled & reinstalled the mouse

Removed the USB receiver for a previous wireless mouse

Unplugged the mouse and did a hard shut down and start up


None of this has worked. I'm willing to try to update again, but I question if that will fix it, since it was working fine until today, as did my previous mouse until I dropped it one too many times.

USB Wireless Mouse Scroll Jumping

Recently, on Windows 10, when attempting to scroll the page will sometimes jump up, then down when I am scrolling. I am using a new Gear Head Wireless USB mouse, which in the past as worked perfectly well. I have tried solutions previously listed on the
web (cleaning the sensor, turning down the amount of lines that will be scrolled), and so far, nothing has worked. Any advice?

 

Jumping mouse cursor

Mouse cursor keeps jumping out of control. I've uninstalled it (there were 3 listed under the mouse device) and then updated the device driver. Didn't fix it. What do I do?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
