Windows 10: USB port stopped supporting USB hub / ethernet adapter

Hello,


I have a USB hub/ethernet-adapter I have been using that recently stopped functioning in one of the USB ports of my laptop. It does not show up, it does not load the driver, it is unusable.


The mouse and keyboard I have used in the hub work in the same port, ruling out the general functionality of this port.


What is most strange is that the hub works in the second USB port of my laptop.

I got miniSUB to normal USB adapter with the tablet. I was thinking of buying this one: Trust.com - Vecco Mini 4 Port USB 2.0 Hub

I can get it cheaper where I work and it's very compact.

This one is probably the best for you if you want to preserve mobility. Just beware of battery drain (hub+ethernet takes some power plus the connected devices):

If you're only using this when the tablet is parked, might be better to buy one of the bigger powered USB hubs.

Edit: Wait, does it just have a micro USB? Micro USB hubs are very rare.
