Thank you for your attentionI have looked for a solution and tried many things. The only thing I haven't done yet is replace the drivers because Windows says the best drivers are installed. As you can see in the first picture, the USB device Dell speaker is detected, but it doesn't play any sound, and the speaker icon on the taskbar has an X on it so no sound.I have tried changing the USB port, running troubleshooting, and changing the volume settings doesn't work, as if not recognized, but I get no positive results. I can't configure it either: when I click on "Configure speakers", nothi

Windows 10 recognizes my UE Megaboom as a headset and not a speaker will not work?

    Hi Rachael,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I suggest you try the steps listed below and check if it works. This issue could be because of the Headphones BT SPEAKER Stereo being set as default. I suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if it works.

    • Pair the speaker with your PC.
    • Right click the Windows icon on the taskbar and choose
      Device Manager.

    • Expand Sound, video, and game controllers
and right click on your Bluetooth speaker (BT SPEAKER Stereo).
    • Choose Disable and acknowledge the confirmation popup. Wait for the screen to refresh.
    • Right click on the same device again and Enable.
    • Exit Device Manager and see if the issue persist.

    Regards,

USB speakers no longer work on laptop

I have the latest updates installed with win 10.

No significant changes. No troubleshooting steps taken and no error message in device manager because win 10 doesn't recognize them. I used these speakers before and they worked fine. Apparently with the updates they are no longer recognized. They are
    Samsung USB speakers.

    USB only speakers!

Win 10 not recognizing my USB only speakers (NOT on list of Playback devices); I have a universal 3.5mm port that outputs audio just fine (headphones), I get video & audio output via HDMI port as primary, only laptop speakers play when primary HDMI not
used, do I have to have USB + 3.5mm speakers and USB only speakers won't work?
