  1. Use of multiple displays

    Windows 10 Automatic Update

    Multiple monitors environment

I have read various notes and I am just confused and frustrated.

I have successfully connected a second monitor to my laptop and duly identified them as 1 and 2, and configured them so that 2 is on the left and 1 is on the right BUT from there I am just confused.

Bottom lines of what I am trying to achieve.

    1. Screen 1 to be my main working screen where all my programs are and they are duly shown in the taskbar along the bottom and I happily flip away between screens 1 and 2 as I need to.

    2. Screen 2 to permanently have on display a second browser window that is looking at just one site a chat site.

When I detect activity occurring, on the chat site, which I am interested in, switch the entire contents and programs, i.e. what I'm doing etcetera on screen 1, to the secondary screen and switch the chat site to the main screen. When I'm finished chatting, reverse the process.

Maybe I'm not understanding the multiple screen facility properly but I have not been able to work out how to achieve what I want to achieve.

I look forward to receiving the usual detailed instructions help, please.

    Best regards

  2. Multiple display taskbar

    Hi Justin,

Let me guide you now on how to set up multiple displays on a Windows 10 computer. You may follow the steps below to configure the correct display settings for your device.

    Here are the steps:

    • Right-click on your desktop.
    • Select Display settings, then different options will be displayed.
    • You can either choose Duplicate these displays to sync your activities from the original monitor with the second one or
Extend these displays to be able to do multiple activities using separate displays.
    • After choosing your preferred option, click on Apply.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Steps 1:

    1. Go to settings
    2. Click on “System"
    3. Then click on Display
    4. Move your mouse to the monitor that needs to be set as primary and check the box
