Windows 10: Used laptop very slow

Hello,


I have recently bought a used HP laptop, but the problem is that is runs very slowly. I can not even watch a youtube video. I have looked at previous answers and someone with almost the same specs as me experienced this same issue. The solution was to unistall Mcafee. I have tried to do that and I managed to uninstall it partially from my Control Panel and then I got the McAfee tool to unistall the remaining components. However, it says that it has been unable to completely uninstally it and when I go to my register to delete the remaining parts, it says that my access is denied although right now I am the only registered user. I have tried to get ownership of there files, but I can not due to some inheritance problems. What should I do? Is there a way to completely wipe clean the laptop and keep Windows 10?
