Windows 10: User Profile Service service failed the sign-in

Good afternoon,


I just created a new windows user for my wife and I'm facing the following situation.


When I boot the windows, Windows automatically selects this new user to log in, prompting for the password. When I type the password, it tries to log in but displays the following error message:



User Profile Service service failed the sign-in

After looking up for this error message, it seems that this user I created is somehow corrupted.


The problem is Windows Login Screen simply doesn't allow me to switch back to my main user. Usually on the lower left corner of the screen there is a list of users you can select to log in, but they are simply not displaying.


I tried booting in safe mode too, but the same happens: Windows force me to log in with this new user account, which is corrupted and I simply can't log in.


I also tried to restore the system:




The password is incorrect. Try again.


Windows prompts me for my account password, which I know the password is correct for sure and it tells me the password is incorrect. I know it's not a matter of keyboard layout or anything like that, since there's an option to view my password before continuing.


I Just want to login in my main user. Has anyone faced this issue before? Any suggestions?

Hello,

When attempting to login to my computer, I get the following message:

"The User Profile Service service failed the sign-in.

User profile cannot be loaded."

I referred to this Help article,You receive a "The User Profile Service failed the logon” error
message,

but the only difference is I only have one user profile on this computer. So, I can't login with another user to go through the steps listed in this post.

Any suggestions?

See if you may be able to use OPTION FOUR in the tutorial below to enable the built-in Administrator account at boot.

If so, then sign in to the built-in Administrator account to be able to do the steps in the tutorial below for this error.

I am trying to create new user logins on my laptop for my kids - I have successfully created user accounts that show up at startup, but I get the following error when I enter the passwords and try to login:

User Profile Service service failed the sign-in. User profile cannot be loaded.

I have tried multiple solutions from this forum, including regedit - their accounts do not show up on the ProfileList, and changing the permissions in C:\Users\Default to "Replace all child object permission entries from this object".

Also, deleted and re-added the accounts. Any other suggestions?!?!?!?!?!*Sleepy*Sick*Sleepy*Sick*Sleepy
