We probably won't hear anything till Monday as most of those in the know are probably gone being this is the weekend. I guess until we hear something official, it's just guess work on our part as to the reasons; however I find it strange that all 3 outlet sources are removed. That's somewhat telling.

  2. That is what I was wondering off all of us that have no problems with it.
1 Are they going to ask us to uninstall it.
If so will it take out bits of the July upgrade
2 Only do a patch for those having trouble.
3 Or some other reason why they with drew it.
4 If bugs or issues why did not the insiders who tested it find it

None of this makes any sense at all--if anything, I think that Microsoft is just being overly cautious and pulling it to look at it themselves and see if there's a problem that somehow they and we (the 5,000,000 insiders testing these builds for the past few months) have missed. There are people who intentionally want to rain on any parade at Microsoft for any pretext whatever, unfortunately...*Wink So my guess is if after a look-see and they can't find a problem 10586 will go right back up. If they knew there was something wrong with the build they'd simply patch it and announce an update for it through Win Update.

Windows 10 Enterprise, Version 1511 (Released Nov '15) 64 Bit English is still available, (at least through my official channels).

Windows 10 Enterprise (Released Jul '15) 64 Bit English is also still available from the same location.

I can't see if there was a major issue with the build that the Enterprise version would still be available

I haven't encountered any issue yet but I still find it interesting that they pulled the build.

It is weird...they pulled it here:

    Windows 10

...and added new text to specifically state you could not get the 1511 update from the page. Yet, that's the page from which I got the 1511 iso, and I still have the 1511 Media Creation Tool that I also got from that page--and it still works...*Wink

So maybe they are just shifting web pages...although, I think keeping more than version of the Win10 RTM posted is an extremely bad idea. Be nice if they'd say something about it all.

I can also confirm the Windows Update is gone too. I was getting it on my laptop... even though I couldn't install it, but now it's no longer offered, and when checking for updates I'm told my device is up to date...

And for the record, the only "issues" I've encountered is that it won't install on my laptop, not even the MCT or ISO. No issues with desktop though.

MS seems to have thought there is enough issues with the build to pull it for the time being. I wouldn't be totally surprised to see a new build coming down with the necessary patches.

You've disabled UEFI secure boot? Some laptops don't allow for that in the bios (UEFI), though. That's the only thing I can think of that would simply not allow you to install the update at all.

No, I've not disabled UEFI, In fact I make sure it's enabled when doing clean installs. And the first, and last time I was in my BIOS was last night checking to see if there was something there preventing me from installing it. There wasn't. Anyway here's the post on the issue here and further down.

    Thanks

Have you downloaded the 10586 iso and simply mounted it in your current version of Win10 and upgraded in-place from there? It looks like you were trying to do it through WinUpdate and it failed there. I don't see how the in-place upgrade from the iso could fail. (That's the only way I do it, now.) Good luck!

Thanks Walt. Check out my post I linked ("here" is linked in the post you quoted). And yeah, I don't see "the in-place upgrade from the iso could fail" either, but it did. At any rate I was set to do a clean install this morning until I saw the news about the update being pulled. Now I'll just wait and see what's going on. Outside of that I have no other issue with my laptop as it's currently running Windows 10, which was upgraded from 8.1 through Windows Update. So the fact that it now fails to update to TH is a bit weird and troubling.

That said, I know the disk I created with the media creation tool is good because I used it to update my desktop without any issues. And yes, I also tried the actual TH ISO disc on the laptop too, and it also failed *Sad

Could it be my laptop? I'm not ruling it out, but now that MS seems to have pulled the update, I'll wait before pressing on.
