Windows 10: Users Want Modern Transparency in Windows 10

Yea there's just no good reason to not have all of the same aero features in 8-8.1. or now 10 that exist in 7 on a laptop or desktop,
The setting should all exist in the same easy to find locations/ personalize section and advanced system settings/ performance
There's also no real reason to push title only on the right column of the start menu/ text only should be a option and not just blocks,
There should also be an easy way to get rid of Bing search from the start menu search,
I used to laugh at all of the commercials that said "Windows 7 was my idea" but it's actually true *Biggrin
10 is not it lacks easy customizations and personal preferences.

 

Not to turn it into a Linux forum, but I have a VM with Debian 7 and kde plasma running. Are there some nice transparent themes to be had with loading instructions? A link or 2 would filter out a lot of search. *Smile

MS decided that people didn't want it.
I don't recall users demanding that it be removed.

If you want to, you can turn it off in W7 (I have Transparency turned off).

Every single piece of savory, sucky eye candy they have.

I may never ever use it, but I want it.
Let me tinker to my hearts content. Who wants the same desktop year after year (only the unimaginative), let me change it up.

Since I don't have a tablet or smart phone I don't need drab to get the machine to boot. My 486 video card only had 1 MB ram but the W95 desktop looked better than W10.

I wish I could use this theme on KDE Plasma (would look good ported to Windows too I think)

I do. I don't like the newer desktops. Not everyone uses a computer for eye candy, when you have a browser open in full screen you don't see any of it, if the browser is maximized you only see the taskbar with shortcuts if any. I don't sit around staring at my desktop to watch it change to the next screen, I turned that off.

Transparency may be gone altogether; latest leak seems to have a black, non-transparent taskbar and no apparent way to modify it.

(also looks like they ripped off someone's idea!)
