Windows 10: Users Want Modern Transparency in Windows 10

I believe MS's intention with the dark task bar is thumbnail highlights.
Depending on the color you choose for your windows headers, Start Menu, etc., Windows will add a subtle shade of that color to the dark task bar.
So, if you choose blue, the task bar will be a very dark navy blue; if you choose red, the task bar will be a very dark red wine shade.
The main aspect of the feature seems to be that now your active and inactive thumbnails will be highlighted with your chosen color.
Pretty cool but it still does not leave much room for customization though! *Sad

I spent a little bit of time on my last theme so I would like to continue to be able to do that!
(I'll investigate the DWM thing)





(Don't think I'd pull this off in Build 9901!) Really like the colors. . .looks just like my Windows Phone. . .nice maybe you could post it for those who would like to use it as wallpaper. (Me). . .thanks.

It's a legitimate topic for discussion. If for some reason you don't like the topic then simply don't open the thread. I guess it is a topic, not sure as to the legitimate part.

I opened it out of interest not knowing the context, (I thought transparency was already there) only after reading some of the comments, did I respond. Thank you for asking.

Then, why did you read it? Why did you post in it? Just giving an opinion, hoping to help bring a conclusion to the post.

I see topics like this as things to just stir a pot, and conjure emotional retorts, and from the sounds it, it may have done just that.

Again, just my opinion, I thought the article was more informational and not even a debate issue.

You are correct, that is not senseless, But;

I also read the article because I thought it was about people like myself who want these things.

I felt the original article was about how many people wanted transparency, not, if it was good, bad or anything else. Which was nothing more an informational thing and not debatable, unless, they wanted to challenge the accuracy of the article.

And it seemed some wanted to hi-jack this and turn it into a debate about the pros and cons of transparency, which can be debated, but I felt this was the wrong article and topic to bring those issues up, hence my comments.

That was the only point I was trying to bring.

I'm all for any "Improvements" in the existing aero features which are pretty limited as it stands for no real reason which most people forget everyone has personal preferences
None of which have to be activated by default but Do need to exist for the sake of personal choices that are built into the iso to be somewhat attractive to all not just the few,

There's a very good reason 7 is popular it has many easy to find customization options *Smile
