Windows 10: Using a Windows 10 Pro package license key on an already installed Windows

So, I'm about to purchase a windows 10 pro retail package (coming from an OEM if that matters) that comes with the license key and the USB, and was wondering if I can use the license key provided out of the box to activate my already installed windows in my SSD. I used the creation tool, by the way.

I asked the vendor and they said I have to use the USB in order for the license to work. I just want to confirm from other sources.

I'd also like to ask what are the chances the product might be bogus? I'm actually paying for it for only about 83 dollars. I asked the vendor why his prices are considerably low compared to other resellers and he says he's a certified reseller and that he chooses to keep his prices fairly low. His shop page actually has some pretty good feedback and that his packaged windows 10 is sealed and comes with a COA Sticker.

I'm coming from an OEM license because i'm about to swap my motherboard and CPU from Intel to AMD and would like to use a retail version for longevity use.

Installing Windows 10 using Windows 7 key

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.

 

Clean Windows 10 (?PRO?) install

I have bought a legit "Windows 10 Pro" key of a key website. It is legit since i'm currently using it for over a year now. I currently have Windows 10 Pro installed on my PC and I want to do a clean install. I just can't find the windows 10 Pro download in the tool. But if i could use a windows 10 pro key with a normal windows 10 install, I'll be good to go.

As far as I am aware there is no Windows 10 Pro version.
But I'd be happy to be wrong.
