Using an image to build identical computers using Windows 10

Hello: I have 15 identical computers to set up. They already have a fully licesnsed copy of Windows 10 installed. I thought I would set up the first one, make a system recovery image using the Windows utility and install the image on the other computers.

After this I think I would need to reactivate them. I have been provided with an activation key by the integrator that sold me the computers. They say i can use this activation key to reactivate all fifteen computers.

I just want to make sure this is legit. I am concerned I might lose the original license on the target computer when I copy the image. Can I use the same activation key to re-activate multiple computers after imaging?

    :)

  2. is it possible to hand build a motherboard?

Might I suggest you simply build a computer, making notes and taking pictures step by step. Most people (probably including your teacher) have no idea even where to start building a computer. You'll do fine, and if you get stuck we're here to help ya out! *Toast :toast:

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Does this computer build have compatibility problems? Opinions welcomed!

Lets start with what you're going to use this computer for, not what you want to put in it.

Rules/steps to building a computer (in chronological order):
First rule: Determine what your needs are.
    Second rule: Define your budget.
    Third rule: Pick parts.
Fourth rule: Review parts several times.
    Fifth rule: Buy said parts.
    Sixth rule: Build it.

You are on rule/step 1. Go through the list until you're done.
