Windows 10: Using Dual Monitors on Windows 10

    Using Dual Monitors on Windows 10


    I am trying to get set up for home working. I have a Windows 10 laptop and two monitors that I want to work from, and be able to view different things side by side. The monitors are connected to the laptop via a HDMI splitter cable. The problem I am having is that when I try to change the settings, the system is identifying the laptop screen as display 1, and the two monitors are being identified together as display 2. I suspect that I need windows to identify the one monitor as display 1, and the second as display 2. How do I do this?

    • Which Windows 10 build are you using?
    • Have you already tried performing the troubleshooting steps suggested by
      Mauro Cavallin on June 16, 2017?
    • Are both of the monitors not working just like what the original poster was experiencing? If yes, have you tried disconnecting one of the monitors? What was the outcome?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
