Using MountVol for the First Time, Did I Unmount the Volume Properly?

I used the mountvol command for the first time in CMD to see my Boot files, since I was under the impression that my Boot folder in C:/Windows would be locked or I would be barred access I wasn'tnow I'm not sure if I've "exited" the whole process correctly. I don't know if it's a security risk or anything to keep EFI mounted but I just want to put everything back the way it washere's the play by play:I used a free drive letter, which was 'E', since I don't have an E drive and typed "mountvol E: /s"then I typed "dir E:\efi\microsoft\boot\*.efi", which worked and gave me the list of boot files

    :)

    Unmountable Boot Volume

Unmountable boot volume usually means a bad hard drive. Booting the XP CD and running chkdsk will sometime bring the computer back to life for a while, but eventually the drive will die.
