Using Start menu on secondary display using Windows key as a shortcut key.

    Hello,

Since "Show Start on the display the user is using when they press the Windows logo key" local group policy is deprecated on Windows 10, how can I make the Start menu show on the display that I am using when I press Windows logo key on Windows 10?

Currently, Start menu shows only on my main display, when I press Windows logo key. I have searched for all available settings in the System, but I found none.

    Regards,

    A

  2. Start Menu item - Right-Click>Properties>Shortcut key

In Window 7 and earlier versions, one could right-click an item in the start menu, select properties and access the shortcut tab. Therein lay the Short key field, which I used a lot for creating custom key combinations, eg CTL+ALT+N for Notepad++ or CTL+ALT+P for Paint.NET.

In Windows 10, the start menu seems to treat all items as Apps and right-click brings up a minimal menu, which doesn't include properties.

Ideas/suggestions please for creating customer key-combo shortcuts to programs or getting back the functionality of Windows 7 start menu Right-Click>Properties>Shortcut key.

Shortcut key for "My Stuff" ?

Using Windows 10, here's the steps I'm taking to search for files on the computer:

    • Click Start Menu (or tap the Windows key on the keyboard)
    • Start typing a search term
    • Click "My Stuff"
    • When it finds your file, click it to make the file open
    • If you want to open File Explorer and peruse similar files without opening files:
      • After clicking "My Stuff" (in Step 3) go to the bottom area under "Other places to look" and click "File Explorer"
      • File Explorer opens

Question: I don't want to use the mouse to click "My Stuff" in step 3. Is there a shortcut key?
