  2. Using the Pinyin Chinese input method with a QWERTZ keyboard.

    Hi Antony,

Thanks for your quick response. Yes, I have Windows 10 Pro on my system. Unfortunately, your advice does not solve the issue. It works with other languages (for example: write in English using a Swiss keyboard, is fine), but not with Chinese.

Once the the language is added, in this case simplified Chinese, I click on "Options", then under Input method "Microsoft Pinyin" is written, I click under "Add an input method", but there there is only "Microsoft Pinyin" and "Microsoft Wubi". Both of these
method assume that the keyboard is a standard American QWERTY keyboard. So when I press Z, the Chinese characters whose pinyin start with Y appear, and all the punctuation is mixed up.

Thanks again for your kind help. Any solution?

    Best,

Using the Pinyin Chinese input method with a QWERTZ keyboard.

    Hi Antony,

Thanks for your reply. Sorry this really does not help.

We are now with Windows 10, and it is still not possible to use a non QWERTZ keyboard to input Chinese, this is rather strange!

Antony, could you inform the right development engineer, in order to for this feature to be added?

Has any body out there found a solution for this problem?

    Best,
