  1. Using Win DVD ISO burner, burn to DVD complete, error when verifying.

I just burned my downloaded copy of Windows 10 to DVD with the Windows DVD burner, it appears that the image was burned successfully but if you try and use the "verify disc" option it gives an error of 0x80004005.

I have tried several discs and receive the same error ONLY when trying to verify, when burned without the verify option the burn competes fine, and I have checked the contents on the disc and it does have the files on it.
I am using Sony DVD-RW discs, could it be that due to the fact that the media is RE-Recordable that this prevents it from verifying?

Any suggestions, do I NEED to verify? Seems like it wasn't the default option as the box was not checked, just to mention when I downloaded Windows 10 from
MS it verified the download and completed to the HDD just fine. No problem.

One last question....is there any way to get a official MS Windows 10 ISO
disc that was factory burned without paying for it except shipping costs? Directly from MS? I have very slow internet and it makes downloading the ISO to the PC a long wait, almost over 12 hours....LOL

    :)

format a blank cd on windows 10.

    Hi,

Try this method... similar but different...

I just burned the installation files for my printer to a CD, a Win 10 (1511) ISO to a verbatim DVD+R, and a small DVD movie file to a 10 year old blank DVD of unknown type... All worked without issues...

Right click on the file(s) to be burned and select "Send To"... then choose your burner...

OR... in the case of the ISO, select "Burn Disk Image"

You will then be asked to "Please Insert Writable Disk"...

You will then get the menu to select "With A CD\DVD Player" (Master)...

The file(s) will then be copied somewhere to a Temporary File or Cache...

When this completes you will get a pop-up stating you have files ready to be burned to disk...

Right click on the burner and select "Burn To Disk"... You will then get a window to name the disk and select Burn Speed... as well as "Verify" the disk...

  3. Error code 0x80004005- burn Windows 10 ISO file on disk media.

    Hi Terry,

Thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

We understand that, you face issues with burning Windows 10 ISO file via DVD and I'd be certainly help you.

I would like to know few more details on the below questions to understand the issue better.

    1. Is the issue happening with a particular disc?

    2. What is the make and model of the computer?

    3. What burner program you are using, Windows build-in burner or third-party?

    4. Does the error happens, when using any DVDs?

If the DVD device is working properly, the problem may be caused by the following factors:

    1. The ISO file is corrupted, try to re-download the ISO file.

    2. The burner program, try another burner program.

Let’s try to burn a simple file to DVD by using windows burner feature to find out if the DVD device is working properly.

If the issue persists, the problem should be caused by DVD device itself. I recommend you contact the manufacture’s website to update DVD device Firmware.

Please refer to the suggestions of ZigZag3143 (Windows IT Pro MS -MVP) replied on June 1, 2015, and Andre Da Costa replied on June 19, 2015, to fix your issue with burning Windows 10 ISO file via DVD.

Will I be able to download and burn an ISO Windows 10?

Will I be able to download and burn an iso Windows 10?

Please feel free to contact us, if you face any issues with Windows.

    Thank you.

Using Win DVD ISO burner, burn to DVD complete, error when verifying.

That is a definite Yes, it is a problem. ALWAYS use the CD-R, DVD-R or DVD+R discs to burn .iso files used to create an exact copy of the original when that original is not available. Besides, I don't think an RW disc is bootable.
I always use the Verify, takes longer but results in more usable burnings.

TIP: turn of Bold texting except for short highlighting of something, amounts to shouting in texting, chat and forums.

For the last question, haven't seen an answer for it.

I haven't seen official Microsoft Windows 10 DVD's for purchase unless you purchase the retail license with it. Do you have any friends with better internet connection that could burn a DVD for you, or at least copy the ISO file to a USB flash drive?

My vote is to also use DVD-R discs instead and leave verify turned on.

I used to beta test Windows 95 when it first came out. Try downloading new builds of Windows every couple of weeks over a dial up connection! Back then I though 33.6 Mbps was FLYING and it only took two days to download - tying up the phone line the whole time!

When I retired back in late '94 my wife was driving 40 miles to work 4 days a week. Six months later she decided we should move and my biggest requirement for agreeing was to have a second phone line for the computer, she got by cheap, me not so much with house payments again. At least I got 56Kbps most of the time, used ICS for 2 computers running Windows 98SE [Second Edition] before getting Windows 95.

  7. Thanks for the tips Burton. I'll go buy some DVD-R discs and give that a try.
I had accidentally copied the error number from another site and it automatically turned on the bolding. I changed that typeface to regular.

Yes I will go buy the DVD-R only discs and leave verify turned on.

I didn't know exactly what the elements are that it verifies but I thought since the downloaded to files auto verified I should do the same when burning to disc.

Thanks for all your help I will post a follow up when I get the new discs.
