Windows 10: Uwfmgr installation on W10 Enterprise (Access Denied)

Hi,

I have a machine that may have power failures on a Windows 10 Enterprise.

The program saves data by serialization on binary files. When a power failure occurs the system reboots, but some times the files are empty. The first remedy I found was to remove the policy for using windows write cache, but still some binary files gets empty. Further investigation led me to Uwfmgr that I installed on the machine. If enabled I hope this will protect the files from getting empty!? So far so good.

When I open a Command prompt and write > uwfmgr filter enable

it tells me that it couldn't enable the uwf (Access Denied).

I'm logged in on the machine as administrator, the exe file is located in system32 and it is readable.

Any ideas on why this occur, has also tried the command directly from windows start menu via run, without luck.

Help would be much appreciated.

Access denied when attempting to write to eSATA drive after updating Windows 10 Enterprise

I appreciate the efforts taken by you to work on this issue. I understand that after updating Windows 10 Enterprise, you receive
Access Denied error when you try to write to an eSATA drive.



As you have tried to change the owner to Administrator groups, I would suggest you to try changing the owner to your account and see if that makes a difference.



You may also want to refer the steps mentioned below and see if that helps:

1. Type command prompt in the search bar on the Taskbar.
   
2. Right click on command prompt icon and select Run as administrator.
   
3. Now, paste the following command and hit Enter:
   takeown /f <drive_name> \ /R /D Y

Note: The article is for Windows 8/8.1 but holds good for Windows 10.

Change Folder Destination access Denied

Thanks.

After following the steps suggested, I get the message "Access denied" in command prompt.

Please advise how to allow permission.

Whenever I connect any pendrive or hard disk it says access denied for pen drive I googled got the solution for pendrive but I need to follow the steps everytime I connect give me the permanent solution and steps for hard drive access denied
