Windows 10: UWP Error Code 0x80070780

I've seen a lot of ways to solve this error for other items, but I have a folder in my WindowsApps folder which is physically stopping me from reinstalling the app as it cannot be accessed by the system to be deleted due to the 0x80070780 error code.

Is the only way to literally reformat my Windows?

I subscribed to the Xbox game pass for pc. I then downloaded Metro Exodus (from the app). I finished downloading it but, when it reached 100%, I got an error. The error was Error code: 0x80070780. I opened the windows store, and found the two files (DirectX
runtime and Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 uwp)) also failed to install. I don't know about DirectX runtime, but I do know that MS Visual C++ 2015 already installed. I uninstalled it and pressed resume download but it still failed to download.

I am preparing to send my computer back to the manufacturer for repairs. As such I am trying to copy my C local disk/ Users folder to an external drive. A lot of files copy then I start getting the error code 0x80070780 File cannot be accessed by the system.


What does this error really mean? and do I really need these files? How do I get around this to get my Users folder copied?

Any help would be appreciated.

What is Error 0X80070780


I'm trying to copy quite a few files from one hard drive to another.... neither one is the C Drive .... their both internal secondary drives. I Keep randomly getting " Can't access the files due to Error 0x80070780 " I've tried researching it, and can't seem to get to the bottom of it. Tried checking it for errors via windows built in tool via the Properties. Can't figure out or if its possible to run SFC /Scannow on a disk that's not C Drive. Any suggestions on free software to run to check for any errors?
