MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

 

[/quote] Curious to know was this a message that you found from my log file or is it your just saying its a possibilty?


I have run memtest for past 13 hours and have completed 6 passes, i shall leave it running for the final 2 passes but dso far all seems good.

 

It is a possibility from the dumps, there are enough times where the 'probably caused by' part is not true and somewhere else in the dumps is the real cause.

Unfortunately, we aren't always able to find the cause with only dumps, with the other files we almost everytime are able to find a lead to the cause and a solution.
At least, I haven't seen crashes where the file files and the dumps didn't contain a lead.
