Windows 10: vcredist_x64.exe error not solved

I faced vcredist_x64.exe error and tried to solve it in several ways
I cleaned my hard drive with Cleanmgr command, also ran Sfc/scannow command – both with no results.
Did I make something wrong? I picked up the tips from https://outbyte.com/blog/fix-the-vcredist-x64-exe-error/ but I can see similar instructions on many other sites.

Still getting the 'MSVCP120.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.' error even after running vcredist_x64.exe

• Not that I remember of
• When launching my antivirus app, launching Adobe programs, etc.
• I just ran vcredist_x64.exe, that's it really.

What is the difference between vc_redist.x64.exe and vcredist_x64.exe?

Is reading the question optional?

I asked the difference between the two differently named x64 files. vs_redist.x64.exe and
vcredist_x64.exe.

I did not download them directly, they came with Visual Studio 2019 and possibly again (with a new name) with an update. Yes, Microsoft only seems to reference one of the names. All the more reason for me to ask why there is a second, similarly (but differently)
named version on my system? Why did they put it (or leave it) there?
