Windows 10: Verification code received to verify email is wrong

When I am using Word app, I often receive a message requiring to verify my email account. When I then try to do it, the system asks for a code and I receive an email with a 7 number-long code but the code that is required has just 4 numbers

However, you can try using other options to request the verification code i.e. requesting the code over a call or as a text to your phone number and see if that helps in resolving the issue.

Receiving wrong verification code to verify email

Hi

I have been contantly asked to verify my email. when I try the system asks for a code. The email I receive has a code; 7 numbers long..... the code requested allows only 4 numbers.

Why? and how do I resolve?

The request pops up on my toolbar when using Word. The link takes me to manage my account and then requests I verify my email.

When I click verify it sends me an email with a 7 number code and on screen changes to a code request. The code requested allows only 4 numbers.

I have tried phoning but lost a part of my life I will never get back!
