Windows 10: Verify Credentials with No Password

    Verify Credentials with No Password


    So, I have forgotten a password but it's saved in Windows 10. I can go to web credentials and see it there, but when I hit the 'show' button, it asks me to verify my credentials to see the password. I do not have a password on my local account on Windows 10, so I'm not sure what it wants me to enter to verify my credentials.

    windows 10 web credential verification password.

    When I go to credential mgr. in control panel, if I want to see one of my web credential passwords, I click on show. Before windows 10 security will show me the password, it wants me to verify my credentials to view. At this point, it asks me for a password.
    WHAT PASSWORD? I have never had a login password. My user account is a local account with me as administrator. there are no other accounts with user passwords on this computer. I tried my password for my Microsoft account, but that didn't work. This credential
    verification query will not allow me to leave the password blank.

    How do I find my password for 'Verify your credentials to view the stored passwords'

    I don't remember setting this when I bought the Dell computer Inspiron 5551 (out of warranty)
