Windows 10: Version 1903-1909 Update

Don't know how to contact the devs so I figured I'd post this here.


Windows gave me the option to update to version 1909 even though it's "not ready", so once it finished installing it told me to restart. I restarted my PC, but it got stuck loading after it shut down it was on the normal loading screen. I have it displaying the MSI logo instead of the Windows logo, and it had the loading dots. Nothing else. It stayed like that. I had to shut the computer down, wait a while don't know how long, I just left it for around 20 minutes and started it back up. It did some repairs and booted back in to version 1903.


I'm not sure if this is some sort of local issue or an issue with the new build.

Windows 10 1903 1909 repeated failure to update

Well would't you know it. I did everything, every step, all the suggestions, months of failed downloads and was going to wipe everything tomorrow and start again, but remembered I hadn't tried your suggestion of updating to 1809 before 1903/09, and blow
me down, but it's updated to 1809 with ease!

I have yet to dare to try and get it to update to 1909 but it's the 1st progress in months, so thanks.

 

Version 1909 stuck without 1903 installed

The standard download for version 1909 is only 300MB if you have version 1903 already installed, if you did not have version 1903 installed, that download should have been much bigger and included everything it needed to install, because 1903 is not pre-requisite
for version 1909 . . .

Try re-starting your PC maybe 3 times in a row to see if that prompts 1909 to begin the installation phase . . .

 

Windows Updates Cumulative Update version 1903 and the Featured Update version 1909 both fail

I have tried to install both the Cumulative Update version 1903 and the Featured Update version 1909 and when they hit the 100% mark I get a message in install failed and the changes are being undone. After doing this the first time my printer does not
work and I've deleted it and reloaded and it still doesn't work.

I have tried six times to do the updates without success. When I view the update history it says the Featured Update version 1909 failed on 11/18/2019 and the Cumulative Update version 1903 was successfull on 11/18/2009. It than says the Featured
Update version 1909 was successfully updated on 11/18/2019 followed by the Cumulative Update version 1903 failed on 11/23/2009.

During the check for updates it continually loads the the Cumulative
Update version 1903.

When I look at the OS Build it shows Version 1903 installed on 10/12/2019 OS Build 18362.449

So, how do I get these updates to install or allow updates for everything else except Windows updates?

Plus get my printer to be recognized, I can still print documents using email.
