Windows 10: Version 19041 has caused various issues

19041 Installed about November 2020 via Windows Update. After it installed, it started messy with key Touch Pad functions of Hold and Move windows and Click to close windows. I needed to change the Primary button to Right and Reverse the Buttons.

So I am able to Hold and Move windows using the Right button and Click to Close Windows..


I do not have the Left Click to open the Sub menus on the desktop or the program shortcuts.


I can get the Left click to open Sub Menus by changing Primary back to Left in order to do that function, then change it back.


No. 2--Also the windows update facility changed the way it alerted for available updates and the way it starts to get the updates.


Prior to 14091--Windows Update would check for and list any available updates and give me a chance to choose when to get the updates during Active Hours.


I still have my Active Hours set, but Updater now finds the updates and starts the process to get them. This cause problems with doing other work or Internet business.


How may I get the Windows Updater facility back the way it was prior to 14091?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

[19041] MIDI driver issue of 20H1

I using Windows 10 10.0.19041.207, this build will be RTM and stable 20H1 version.

but I found some MIDI driver issues.

• This delete custom MIDI drivers, already reported [19041] Audio Endpoint Builder removes custom MIDI drivers!
• Force enabled Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth driver

I disabled Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth driver from device manager,

but this driver turned disable only appearance, this still enabled in actually.

Any program plays MIDI by only default device (can't specify MIDI out device, ex. Windows Media Player) we will hear only Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth.

When Microsoft can solve this issue?

Thank you for your response: apologies for slow feedback.

Regarding step 1 - doing a restore point : I tried this twice and twice it failed. Now, the date of the update that caused the issue (13/14 September 2019) has disappeared from the history list. Is there a way of finding it, still?

Regarding Step 2- the list of updates installed: the two suggestions above do not seem to appear in the list in the window "Installed Updates".

There are two updates listed for 13 September - Security Update for Adobe Flash Player and Security Update for Microsoft Windows.

Could you advise what I might try next?
