Windows 10: Very Confusing . . .

Discus and support Very Confusing . . . in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; My computer, is a Dell laptop. Running, Windows 10 Pro.   1. Very Confusing . . .


    My computer, is a Dell laptop. Running, Windows 10 Pro.
    The questions, I'll be asking Are about, antivirus.

    Right now, I'm running Norton Antivirus.
    All the ratings, have it. As one, of the best

    The most important,feature to me, is it's VPN!
    I live in a, retirement community.
    Where they, lock down, the Wi-Fi.

    The VPN, let's me go, to any website!
    But there's one, real big, problem with it.

    It's their, backup feature. It does a backup. to their cloud.
    But, you can't pick. What you want, to be backed up?

    It just backs, up everything? You have no, control over it?
    The amount of data. on my hard drive.
    Is far more, than they allow?

    I called,and asked them about it. And, their only answer was.
    Why don't you, just "zip" up, your files? Give me, a break!

    I've only had Norton, for a couple months.
    So they will, give me a refund, no problem.

    I watched videos. Comparing, many different antivirus.
    Besides Norton, Bitdefender was also mentioned.

    There are, too many others, to mention here.
    I'll see, what suggestions, I get. From, the experts.

    Cost, is no big deal. They all cost, about the same.
    But these things, are a must:
    1. It must, have a VPN!
    2. It should have, a more flexible. Cloud backup, program!
    3. And, they must have, a telephone number, that I can call!

    So many of the companies, only accept emails?
    Or an internet-based "Help Desk".

    If that setting is already enabled, then I suggest as the next troubleshooting step might be Mozilla Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)):

    • Please report back and let us know the outcome, as it will dictate the next steps.
    • Also: please tell us what AV/AM/firewall programs are you running on this system?

    what exactly did you do to it originally, tell me step by step and list the files you used (including links if possible) i will try to back track and recreate the error using VMware if i can (VMware a special tool i use for testing crap out *Smile Very Confusing . . . :) )

    Looks like they are IPS, but is it true that they are fully 120Hz compliant? I see they seem to list Dual Link DVI connections but I'm confused by the diagram that suggests the monitor internally generates the extra frames. *Confused Very Confusing . . . :confused:
