Windows 10: VERY FRUSTRATED AND MY PC ALWAYS STOPS AND SHOWS 0X8007000D WHEN I TRY TO UPDATE 2020-12...

I am having this problem since I updated my pc to the 20h2 December pack. I have restored my pc, cleaned my pc, did all the commands from cmd but it is still having a problem and showing 0x8007000d error when I want to update "2020-12 cumulative update for window 10 version 20h2 for x64 based system KB4592438". Could you please help me with this? I also did a manual update but went nowhere.

Why am I having a the following issue in 2020? I saw people were asking about this several years ago.

Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x8007000d

Continually getting error codes 0x8007000d and 0x80073712 on Windows Update

Hi,

On doing updates I get one or both of the error codes for the following updates:

• 2020-05 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64 (KB4552931) -Error 0x80073712
• 2020-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based Systems (KB4556799) -Error 0x8007000d

I also get error 0x8007000d when trying to reinstall .NET 4.8, however I think that it's trying to install that update.

So far I have tried a clean install of Windows 10, manually installing the updates from the update catalog, and the solution at the end of page 1 on this post: Error Code 0x80073712 | Cumulative Update for Windows 10 version 1709 for x64-based Systems

Mostly I have been able to continue with these issues but now it seems the May Feature update, as well as some games have updated to the point where these updates are listed as specific fixes.

Any further solutions would be appreciated.

If you receive Windows Update error 0x8007000d, it means that a file needed by Windows Update is damaged or missing. Try one of these methods to resolve the problem.

Method 1: I suggest you to first run Windows update troubleshooter and check if it helps you fix the issue.

• 
  In the search tab type Troubleshooting and hit enter.
  
• 
  Select System and security.
  
• 
  Click Windows update troubleshooter and follow the onscreen instructions.
  

Method 2: Try the following steps to run
DISM scan to check and restore system file corruption:

• 
  Open command prompt by pressing Windows key + X and selecting “Command prompt admin”.
  
• 
  In command prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command:
  
  DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
  

Check to see if the issue is resolved. If not, restart the PC.
