Windows 10: Video Editor Quirk

If you accidentally delete a file from your Project Library in the Windows 10 video editor, it will say, "We can't find this file" in the timline. When you try to add the file back in, it doesn't copy in with the original name I had, it copies in as C10 Copy 2, and timeline still shows "We can't find this file" So, I basically lost alot of work. Any way to fix this? Why does it add it in as Copy 2? It's not there. If I delete C10 Copy 2 from the timeline, and I add C10 back into the Project Library, it will then add it as Copy 3. So on and so forth....

How do I Remove Video Editor and Connect?

Video Editor is part of Photos, I'm not sure you can just remove that and leave Photos in place.
