Windows 10: Video Issue Windows 10

I upgraded an HP p6000 desktop (was Windows 7) to Windows 10. This PC is being setup for community use in a senior mobile home park. Once finished the computer will use Guest mode to avoid constant issues with problematic downloads or malware. My problem is there were no native HP video drivers, so I used the W7 drivers. All seemed ok except sometimes the screen goes black (except for curser) and requires a restart. I believe this problem is related to the wrong VGA driver. I can't find an HP driver but I'm thinking adding a cheap W10 compatible VGA video card may solve the problem. Am I likely to succeed with this plan?

Video Issues in Windows 10 With Firefox

  Is the issue occurs in Microsoft Edge?
  

• 
  Let us know whether the issue is specific to online videos or it is happening with other videos present in your system too?
  
  As the initial troubleshooting steps, I would suggest you to check all the available Windows Updates. Installation of recent Windows Updates should fix the issue.
  
  If the issue still persists, then try updating the Display driver and check. Here is the steps:
  

• Press Windows Key + R on your desktop screen to go to run command box.
• Type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter.
• In Display Adapter, expand Display Adapter, right-click , and then click
  Update.

If the issues persists ,only with firefox then i suggest you to contact firefox support.

video playback issue after windows 10 update

Corrupted software and/or driver issues could be the reasons why you're experiencing problems when playing videos. We suggest that you try these steps, then check if the issue persists:

• Run the the
  Video troubleshooter. This will automatically diagnose and fix issues with playing videos.
• Update the display drivers.

Windows 10 Video Playback Issues

Method 1: Update video adapter driver.


Verify that the latest drivers for the display adapter are installed.

a. At the Start screen, type Windows Update.

b. Click or tap Settings on the right side of the screen, and then select Install optional updates from the left results

c. When the Windows Update control panel opens, click on “Check for Updates” on the top left corner to receive a

fresh list of updates.

Method 2:

Check the Device status in the Device Manager. The yellow exclamation mark provides an indication of a device's current status and could mean that there is a system resource conflict, a driver issue, or any number of other
things. Refer to these steps to open Device Manager.

Step 1. Press Windows and X keys together.

Step 2. Click on Device Manager.

Step 3. Expand Sound, video and game controller.

Step 4. Please check with the optional driver updates through windows update and check if it helps. And

Method 3: If the issue still prissiest, install the Windows 8.1 drivers in compatibility mode.

Step 1. Download the Windows 8.1 drivers.

Step 2. Right click on the downloaded driver file.

Step 3. Click/tap on
Troubleshoot Compatibility.

I also suggest install the latest drivers available for Windows 10 and check if it helps.
