Windows 10: Video Quality Settings Blank In Camera App

Heya! I'm having issues with the camera app. I have a basic web cam, and it works great with the camera app. It is low quality so I can choose up to 720 P for video quality and that all works great. I just purchased a new camcorder off amazon that is supposed to be 1080P by default, yet when I use it with the camera app the video quality settings in the camera app are completely blank and the picture quality is horrible. Normally I would just set the video quality in the settings but as I mentioned, the field is completely blank, when you click it it just pops up a blank box. Why would this setting be unavailable? I tried adjusting it with the camera's settings, but when plugged in to the computer the menu is not available. So I made sure the camera is set to 1080 p outside the camera app which is was plugged it all back up to the computer and same deal. Definitely not 1080P and the settings in camera app are blank. Is it the camera? Why would video quality settings ever appear as blank?

I am trying to figure out why my with my new webcam on new screen … the settings on video quality for camera are not the highest they can be.

settings to see if the camera access is turned on. Kindly follow the steps below to check the camera privacy settings:

• Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
• Near the top of the Settings app window is the search box, kindly type the word "webcam" or "camera".
• From the list of results choose Camera privacy settings.
• Make sure that "Let apps use my camera" toggle is set to On.

cannot upload camera or camcorder pics & videos

I understand that you’re unable to import photos and videos after upgrading to Windows 10.

This could be due to incorrect Auto play settings. I suggest you to follow the steps as shown below and check if it helps.

• Plug in the Camera.
• Go to Start and type AutoPlay Settings.
• Choose AutoPlay Settings.
• Under your Camera Device, choose the option "Import Photos and Videos."
• Exit Auto Play Settings and check if the issue persists.
